Counselling is about sharing your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential setting. Talking about your issues, problems or concerns can help you feel less alone and allow you to make sense of what is happening in your life. At Comforting Minds Counselling I can guide you to making your own decisions in order to bring about positive change in your life. In sessions you decide what to focus on and bring to the space, and whatever the issue, as your counsellor I won’t be shocked or judge you. My role is to listen and help you decide how you want to move forward.

Counselling involves helping the individual to develop a recognition of their strengths and being able to express themselves. It does not involve making decisions, imposing beliefs on them or preaching. People are often helped by a therapist when they can talk freely and confidentially. For instance, when someone is having issues with a family member they very often find it easier to talk to someone independent rather than another family member or individual who may be close to the person or family.
I allow each client the opportunity to take stock of their lives, understand more about themselves and explore their options. My aim is to help them fulfill their potential, as they journey through this period of change, and begin to lay the crucial foundations for moving forward through life.
Whether an adult or young person, everyone is treated as a unique individual where all clients have the chance to concentrate on themselves knowing that they can offload in a confidential setting.
